Below is a list of local ministries that our members support through donations and volunteering.

Brantford Blessing Center

Twice a month, on Saturday evenings, a meal is served at a soup kitchen in Brantford. Everyone is invited to contribute, whether by preparing food or by coming on Saturday to help out.

Brant Pregnancy and Resource Centre

The Brant Pregnancy & Resource Centre’s purpose is to provide help to those facing the challenges of an unexpected pregnancy. They provide resources and services to help make a fully informed choices about pregnancy and parenting.

Pastor Tony Zekveld and Peter Nathaniel are sent out by Covenant Christian Church of Wyoming URC to be missionaries in the city of Toronto. They spend their time working with the Sikhs in the community. They engage in Bible studies, group discussions, community newspaper writing, and preaching.

Redemption Prison Ministries works with male and female prisoners across Canada. RPM facilitates the churches by providing Bible study courses to prisoners and then training instructors in the churches to mark lessons and write letters of encouragement. They also visit bi-monthly with many of the students one on one in the prisons.

New Horizon

New Horizon Church in Toronto is a community of mixed ethnic and Canadian Christians adhering to the historic Protestant faith. Their mission is to help people to know, love, and worship God, and to receive God’s answers to the difficult problems of life. Pastor Mitchell Persaud was sent to Toronto as a church planter and evangelist and they are now a mission work under the oversight of Cornerstone United Reformed Church in London, Ontario.

Anchor Home

Anchor Canadian Reformed Association for the Handicapped ministers to adults with physical, social, mental or developmental disabilities by providing support through four group homes located in southern Ontario. Their goal is to assist residents in leading meaningful lives as God’s covenant children within a caring Christian environment.

Word Of Life, Scarborough

The main goal of this outreach is to bring the gospel of Christ to the Muslim community in the GTA by visiting Mosques, hosting Christian Muslim forums and monthly discussion evenings, as well as any other opportunities that arise to share the Gospel of Jesus.

URCNA Missions

The aim of this ministry is to help promote the mission works of the United Reformed Churches throughout the world. We want to proclaim the good news about Jesus Christ to all nations!

Bible League Canada

They equip local champions to bring God’s Word to people living in spiritual and physical poverty. The power of the Holy Spirit is working to transform communities, and even entire nations, from the inside out.

Mid-America Reformed Seminary

Mid-America’s mission is to prepare pastors as faithful servants of the Word and sacrament in the heritage of Reformed and Presbyterian Churches.

Ecuador Missions

Missionaries are currently working for Ecuador Missions in Quito, Ecuador.  They are labouring in the area of family ministry.  This includes teaching in the areas of premarital counselling, marriage enrichment, parenting, and family worship. They also offer workshops to train and equip men and women to teach children in the Sunday School setting.  Ecuador Missions asks for your prayer and financial support.

Eternal Life Missions

Missionaries with Eternal Life Missions are serving in the city of Tepic, Mexico, with a small, growing church and bringing the gospel in their community with Bible studies and outreaches. The people in this area are very often steeped in all kinds of mixed religious superstitions added to the Roman Catholic faith. Please pray for them that they may be given wisdom in dealing with the many different attacks on true Christianity that they face and encouraging the new Christian members as they face pressures from their families to abandon their new found faith.

Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada

Linking the Canadian Church with the world’s minority language groups, to see community transformation through Bible translation, use of translated Scriptures, mother-tongue literacy and education.

Voice of the Martyrs

The Voice of the Martyrs Canada is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to helping, loving and encouraging persecuted Christians worldwide.

Word and Deed

Word and Deed is a Reformed Christian relief organization started in 1994 that is currently supported by a number of Reformed and Presbyterian churches across Canada. Their mission statement is “To improve the lives of needy people in the developing world both materially and spiritually in obedience to Christ’s command to love our neighbour as ourselves.”
